I use Backblaze online backup(but hadnt backed up in 4 weeks with lots of photos uploaded - not to mention the chunked up way you would need to download iPhoto components to restore - or pay the $189 fee to have files prepped and shipped - glad the feature is there but.), but my NAS solution at home was not so great and always had issues with Time Machine so no local backup.
